Wow we've sure had a very wet winter. The downpours have been unreal. We Vancouverites are gullible. We always hope for that glorious, occasional sunny day. It's as if one sunny day makes up for a whole month of torrential rain.
Today has been a real blessing. The air is still winter cool but the sunshine warms the skin. Vitamin D is in the air!

Beautiful Brackendale
The wonderful thing about Vancouver is that it's so close to breath taking vistas.
Brackendale is less than an hours drive north of Vancouver on the scenic sea to sky highway.
The drive on the sea to sky highway is gorgeous just on its own. Be careful when travelling this road, it is very curvy.
Brackendale is a small community located right by the Squamish river. Brackendale is known for its eagle population. There are times when hundreds of bald eagles can be spotted by the river bank. Looking at the trees all one has to do is count all the white dots, each dot represents one bald eagle.
When visiting Vancouver take some time to check out Brackendale.

Monster Jam in Vancouver
Last night I went to Monster Jam at BC Place. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it went off this year.
I was at Monster Jam several years ago in the old BC Place stadium and it was a joke. They didn't bring in any dirt back then. The monster trucks were doing their jumps on hard concrete. These truck were meant to be used on dirt tracks so the event back then was pretty lame.
This time they had 12 trucks, plus a bunch of race cars and motorcycles doing tricks. The event was loud and exciting.

It Sure Feels Like Winter in Vancouver
Vancouver has a relatively mild winter climate. But because we are right by the ocean our winter temperatures feel colder. The moisture in the air makes -3 feel like -10.
